Recently I was in Dallas TX asking pool owner who services their swimming pools. Most of them couldn't even remember the name of the company that cleans their pools twice a month. Obviously, there is a serious issue with branding here. Or maybe it's that the Dallas pool service companies don't do a very good job of picking a business name. They are all some variation of words "clean", "pool", "best", "clear", etc. It's nothing that sticks. But regardless most of them were happy with the level of quality and professionalism that their pool service provider was giving. This is a win for the industry and music to my ears as I'm always wanting the market for pool cleaning and repair professionals to grow.
I've seen some great use of social media and videos to reach customers (owners of home swimming pools) lately. Like this one here:
Certainly nothing completely original or magically, but it works! That's how low the bar is in this industry. If you're even trying your going to come out ahead against the other Dallas pool service and repair companies. Here's another simple one:
They give away a lot of great swimming pool maintenance information here, but it's want is going to my the pool owner think Hmmm, I don't want to do all this work, it's too confusing, I'll call these guys, they look trustworthly. Well at least we hope it would go that smoothly in the customers mind.
